How to reset your boiler

If you need to reset your boiler, you may find it to be a troublesome task, one which we can make easier, by the information on this page!

Why reset your boiler?

Why did my boiler need resetting?

Boilers need resetting for a variety of reasons. A very common cause is that the pressure of the system is too low and the boiler wants you to rectify it then reset.

It could be that there was a temporary power interuption and the boiler computer just need to be reset.

It could be that a part of the boiler is faulty and will need to be replaced, in that case, contact us to look at making the repair for you.

Resetting a newer Main or Baxi

It may require a little squish down as the soft rubber button has to push on a hard plastic button underneath so it has to be a firm push. Hold it down for 2-5 seconds.

Viessmann Boiler Reset

Resetting this model of Viessmann boiler requires you to turn this right hand dial all the way clockwise to the "Reset" position, then leave it there for 3-5 seconds, then turn it back to the desired temperature.
